Tamarind has a flavoursome sour taste with a hint of sweetness that is used all over the world as a natural sour ingredient and as a substitute for lemon and vinegar. This highly concentrated paste is used in making chutneys, curries, marinades (for example for meat, chicken or fish), dishes and desserts. Tamarind is also a good source of vitamin C.

Bengal Lentils, Edible Vegetable Oil, Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Tamarind, Jaggery, Curry Leaves, Mustard, Asafoetida, Acidity Regulator E-260 (Acetic Acid).

Asafoetida: devil's dung (a herbaceous plant). It has a beneficial effect and promotes digestion. It is an alternative to using onion and/or garlic in dishes.
Tamerind: pulp of pulp from legumes. It has a sour taste.
