Soy chunks are a good meat substitute, contain iron and vitamin B1. Soy chunks are made from soybeans. The oil is first pressed from the beans. The porridge is then heated and pressed into molds under pressure. The puffing process gives the structure that is reminiscent of meat.

Storage advice
Keep in a cool, dark and dry place. After opening, transfer the contents to an airtight container.
Preparation
Boil the soya chunks in plenty of water for a few minutes. For example with a stock block or some nasi herbs. Then let it soak for at least 20 minutes. Better yet, let it soak overnight. Then squeeze it, fry it nicely brown and add enough predominant seasonings. Prepare your (stir-fry) dish and add the soya chunks.
You can also add the soya chunks unsoaked directly to a curry or pasta sauce and let it simmer like this.
