Characteristics
With this Rasam Powder from Sakthi you can make a famous South Indian dish which is very tasty in combination with white rice.
Usually it serves as an appetizer and it is somewhat similar to soup.
Ingredients
Coriander, Toor Lentils, Cumin, Horse Lentils, Chili, Pepper, Asafoetida, Fenugreek, Garlic, Turmeric, Curry Leaf, Salt, Refined Peanut Oil.
Explanation Ingredients
Coriander: the leaves have a lemony flavour, while the seeds have a slightly sweet, aniseed flavour.
Turmeric: spice extracted from the roots Curcuma plant. It provides flavor and color in curry dishes.
Garlic: has distinctive taste and can be used in many dishes.
Fenugreek: it is a plant of the legume family. The seeds can be used in salads, vegetable dishes or curry sauce, for example. It has its own specific taste.
Asafoetida: devil's dung (a herbaceous plant). It has a beneficial effect and promotes digestion. It is an alternative to using onion and/or garlic in dishes.
Cumin: gives a nutty and peppery taste to dishes. Can be used in, for example, curry or chili.

Use

- Make 1 liter of tamerind/tomato juice.
- Fry mustard, peppers and curry leaves in oil.
- Add the tamerind/tomato juice.
- Add 1 tablespoon Sakthi Rasam powder and salt to taste.
- Boil this for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- The Rasam is now ready to serve.
After opening, store the rest of the spice mix in an airtight container and use a clean, dry spoon.
