MTR Rasam Powder 200 g
Characteristics
Use this traditional rasam powder to make a famous South Indian dish that is very tasty in combination with white rice.
Preparation
- Boil 4 tablespoons of Toor Dal in 3 cups of water with 1/2 teaspoon of oil and a pinch of turmeric powder.
- Let this cook until the dal is nice and soft and set it aside.
- Boil 2 tbsp tamarind pulp (1:5 tamarind : water) with 1/2 tsp jaggery, 1 sliced tomato, 1 tbsp rasam powder and 1 cup water.
- Add the cooked dal and salt to taste.
- Boil this for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee and add 1/2 teaspoon of mustard, curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida.
- Add the rasam.
