Characteristics
Black rice is a fiber-rich whole grain rice. Like brown rice, it gives a longer filling feeling. Black rice has a nutty taste.
Due to the so-called anthocyanins, natural dyes that also contain red cabbage and autumn leaves, this organic rice colors black to purple.
Black rice colors beautifully on your plate and you can use it as a basic grain in savory dishes and salads, but also in desserts, cakes and porridge.
Preparation
For 2 persons:
- Take 1 cup of rice with 2-3 cups of water and bring it to a boil.
- Then let it simmer for 30 - 45 minutes.
- Then stir the rice and let it evaporate.
