Special Bombay Biryani Masala has its own spice mix, which gives it a slightly different taste than the standard Biryani.

Plums are also used in this dish. By default, the Special Bombay Biryani is made with Basmati rice, but our Sona Masuri rice is a healthier and good alternative. Special Bombay Biryani can also be prepared very well as a vegetarian dish.

Ingredients

Green chili powder, ginger, garlic, salt, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, cumin, prunes, bay leaf.

Explanation Ingredients

Ginger: has an intense pungent taste. Can be used in, for example, desserts, bread or biscuits. In India it is widely used with fish.
Garlic: has distinctive taste and can be used in many dishes.
Cinnamon: Can be used with both spicy and sweet dishes due to the deliciously warm and sweet taste.
Clove: gives a herbaceous and spicy taste to dishes.
Cardamom: herbaceous plant of the ginger family. It has a pungent smell and the taste is sweet with a hint of lemon, camphor and bergamot. The green variant provides spice and freshness. The black variant is suitable for more powerful dishes such as curries and stews.
Cumin: gives a nutty and peppery taste to dishes. Can be used in, for example, curry or chili.
Bay leaf: has a somewhat bitter woody taste. Gives extra depth to dishes such as stew, soup, chicken or bolognese.

Storage advice

Keep in a cool and dry place. After opening, transfer the contents to an airtight container.

Preparation

  1. Heat 200 milliliters of edible oil or ghee in the rice cooker.
  2. Add 200 grams of onion and fry it until golden brown.
  3. Add a tablespoon of ginger / garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Add 3 chopped tomatoes, 2 chopped green chilies, chopped coriander, 500 grams of meat and 45 grams of Aachi Special Bombay Biryani Masala.
  5. Stir fry this for 10 minutes.
  6. Add 1 liter of water, 500 grams of Basmati rice and salt to taste.
  7. Cover the rice cooker and cook until done.
  8. Now the tasty Bombay Biryani is ready to serve.

After opening, store the rest of the spice mix in an airtight container and use a clean, dry spoon.
