Characteristics
Millet Idli is a typical South Indian breakfast. This hearty, nutritious rice cake is made from a batter of semolina, lentils and rice flour which is steamed. The Idli is enjoyed with a delicious sambar or thokku.
Ingredients
Black lentils, semolina, rice flour, small millet, pearl millet, corn, salt, raising agent E-500 (ii), sodium bicarbonate, acidity regulator E-296 (malic acid).

Storage advice
Keep in a cool and dry place. After opening, transfer the contents to an airtight container.
Preparation
- Add 100 grams of sour yoghurt or cottage cheese and 100 milliliters of water to 200 grams of Aachi Millet Idli.
- Mix to a good batter.
- Set this aside for about 10 minutes.
- Grease the idli molds with oil.
- Pour the batter into the idli molds and steam for 10 to 15 minutes.
