Gulab Jamun is one of India's most popular desserts! This delicious dessert consists of round balls, traditionally made from thickened milk and soaked in sugar syrup.

Serve Gulab Jamun warm or at room temperature; also very tasty with ice cream!

Ingredients

Wheat Flour, Milk Solids, Vegetable Fat, Maltodextrin, Raising Agent (E500(ii)) – Sodium Carbonate and Acidity Regulator (E296) – Malic Acid.

Storage advice

Store in a cool and dry place. Shelf life up to 2 years after production date. After opening, transfer contents to an airtight container. Perishable after opening.

Preparation

Step 1: Add 1/2 scoop of water to 1 portion of the measured mix and mix gently for a smooth, lump-free dough. Let it rest for 5-7 minutes.
Step 2: Make small balls (for 200 gram mix: 45-50 balls).
Step 3: Deep fry in oil/ghee over low heat until deep golden brown and drip the same in the sugar syrup. Soak the jamun in the sugar syrup until fully incorporated (30 minutes) and serve.

Sugar Syrup: Measure 800 grams of sugar (for 200 grams of jamun mix) and mix it with an equal amount of water, boil for 15 minutes. Add rose essence or cardamom powder if desired.
